Our apartment is approximately 100 m2. It was totally renovated in April 2013, and has a very comfortable lounge-dining room, 4 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, front balcony from which you can see the sea (just 100 mts. away), a well-equipped, good-sized new kitchen, and a large rear patio that is great for young kids to play in, or to have dinner in the cooler night air. There is plenty of storage space, even for large items such as bicycles or scuba-diving gear.
There are two large bedrooms. One is a double room with large cupboards, next to the front-facing lounge. Next to it is a small individual bedroom and the bathroom. The other large bedroom is in the rear of the flat (giving out to the patio). It has two single beds that can be converted into a double bed, and a third extra bed. Even with all three beds in use there is still adequate space with  a large cupboard. Next to it is the 4th bedroom with two bunk beds, from where you exit to the patio, part of which is covered, and houses the washing machine and space for suitcases, bicycles, etc.

To summarize, this is a large, comfortable, recently renovated and well decorated apartment for up to eight people. It is ideal for two couples with up to three children, or one couple with up to 6 kids – parents at one end of the flat, kids at the other….. or for groups of young people.

Sant Feliu de Guixols is an old, established town with about 10000 inhabitants, traditionally a fishing village. It is the complete antidote to other tourist areas in the vicinity. Instead of rows upon rows of tourist apartments and hardly any year-round residents, it is a humming market town that retains nearly all of its traditional arquitecture, with tiny streets in the centre and old fishermen’s houses still largely untouched. Its monastery is renowned and well worth a visit.

In Sent Felix itself you can sail, kayak, scuba-dive, wind-surf, go fishing, hire boats etc. In other words, anything to do with the sea! Hiking, cycling, horse-riding, paintball, quads, Golf, Pitch and Putt, Adventure Parks….they are also all available a short distance away.

Just 10 mins. away is Platja d’Aro – renowned for its excellent shops and vibrant nightlife. In Sant Feliu and the surroundings there are a great deal of good restaurants, from economical to world class.

There are many beaches and coves to visit:  Cala Pedrosa, Cala les Planes, Cala Maset, Playa de Sant Pol, Playa de Sant Feliu de Guixols, La Caleta y Cala del Peix, and many more.. If you have a car it is well worth visiting some of them. The coast south of Sant Feliu is the least developed in all this stretch of the Costa Brava, well worth a visit.

If you have time and want to go a bit further, any of the following is well a visit; Tossa de Mar, Castell d'Aro, Pals or even Barcelona, Gerona, Besalú or Cadaqués, amongst others.

By car, the town is one hour from Barcelona and 30. mins from Girona. There is also an excellent and frequent bus service. Parking is not a problem as there is a large free open-air car park just behind the building. Car (or motorcycle / moped) hire is readily available at reasonable rates.

The accomodation is literally 100 mts. from the beach and saling club. It is just 5 mins. walk to the town centre - and less than 10 mins to the (amazingly good) market. The municipal heated pool and gymnasium is 20 mins walking. So the location is just about ideal.

If your children are looking for more excitement, just 2.5 hours drive south is the Port Aventura amusement park, which is much better than Disneyworld in Paris, for example. (We've been to both, so we can vouch for it!)
